Not just leather,...but recycled leather. This Danish family run business focusses on sustainable and durable interior design. The Table mats and Glass mats are our favorites in their collection. The shapes are organic and the colors are in beautiful pale shades. Just stunning and timeless.
The mats can be used inside and outside. Great for cosy dinner parties or Summer Garden BBQ's. And, the mats are easy to clean. Just whipe it with a wet cloth or spray it with window cleaner to take out stains and grease.
Shop the Table and Glass mats on northboundstore.com
The Glass mats are €4
The Table mats are €19,90

NEW!! Swedish Hasbeens in store now!
"Her name was Anita and she was the hottest mum in all of southern Sweden in the 1970’s. While smoking Camel she screamed at her kids until her curlers fell out and just looked fabulous in her white high-heeled clogs.
One summer day in 2006 we found the shoes she wore (300 pairs of red, white and black beautiful clogs from the 70’s) in the basement of an old clog factory in the neighboring village and brought them to Stockholm. So for all these people that shared our love for Anita’s wooden shoes and for ourselves we started Swedish Hasbeens.
Our ambition is to continue to release more incoherent and fun shoes and stuff inspired by Hasbeens that once ruled the planet.
The Hasbeens shoes are based on original 70’s models and are made of ecologically prepared natural grain leather since it’s the most beautiful and the highest quality at the same time as it’s environmentally friendly.
They are still handmade with respect for people and the environment in the old traditional way, and in small factories that have made shoes for decades. Our production methods and material are kind to nature and people. Happy toffels make happy people."
Last Summer we saw the lovely dresses by Tricotage in their little shop in Copenhagen...and fell in love! Such simple elegance, made of honest materials like organic cotton. And the prints are really pretty. Their signature print for this season (Spring/Summer '16) is the dot print and the awesome feather print. Expressive yet uncomplicated. It just makes these dresses even more wonderful to wear. You can dress 'm up with tights or skinny jeans and with some great heels or just wear it comfortable with sneakers or slippers. Whatever the occasion, wear it with a smile!
All dresses are made in a small factory in Lithuania. And we can't wait for the Winter collection...some soft woolen tops and cardigans...and of course more lovely dresses!
The beautiful Nadja and Linn from Sweden are on a mission! Eco friendly stockings, why not! Made of recycled yarn, but Nadja and Linn want to take it a step further...looking at the production, the dyeing and energy use of the factory. And the stockings are super comfortable, durable and in beautiful deep colors and patterns!
"Each year, two billion pairs of tights are produced, worn once and then discarded, helping to make the textile industry the second most polluting industry in the world. Landfills everywhere are full of poorly made and cheap non-biodegradable textiles – and it’s getting worse. Nylon yarn, which is currently used to produce most modern pantyhose, is created from an environmentally harmful petroleum-based manufacturing process that leads to damaging carbon emissions and not only are they bad for the planet, they don’t last. These harmful practices in the fashion industry are all too common.
We believe the world needs more innovative and environmentally conscious products to lead the way, and so Swedish Stockings was launched. A forerunner in sustainably produced nylon stockings, Swedish Stockings produce beautiful pantyhose from recycled yarn. Our factories engage in sustainable practises including the use of environmentally friendly dyes, post-dyeing water treatment and the use of solar power for much of the energy needed in the manufacturing process.
We are proud to combine sustainability, quality and great design and hope our customers will feel the same pride in wearing them."
